Request part-time classes or services.

A home-schooled student who lives in the district can take any class with space and use any service we offer full-time students, tuition-free: band, a lab science, a language, counseling, speech therapy, the state test. Tell us what you'd like and the school will work out the schedule with you.

How this works

Part-time enrollment is a right under state law, not a favor. Classes depend on space in the section; services are provided at the same level as for full-time students. The district is funded for the hours your student attends, so it costs your family nothing.

Sports and Running Start

Athletics go through the athletics office (a home-school contract is kept on file each year). Running Start goes through MJSHS counseling. You can still mention them here and we'll point you the right way.
