How scholarships are awarded.
The General Boosters review and award scholarships based on a family’s volunteer involvement over the years, support for youth programming, and the student’s involvement in Booster-supported activities. Awards go to graduating Montesano seniors and are announced at the end-of-year awards ceremony.

One scholarship program, not twenty.
Individual sport and club boosters no longer award their own scholarships. All scholarships are managed and awarded through the General Boosters, so every senior is considered under the same criteria. The two exceptions are Football and Wrestling, whose long-standing programs and larger balances keep their own awards. Club funds go to current participants: uniforms, equipment, travel, and team events.
