Monte employees receive benefits through the Washington School Employees’ Benefits Board (SEBB) — the statewide benefits program for school district employees and their dependents. Through SEBB you can choose from medical, dental, vision, life, and disability plans.
Benefits eligibility starts when an employee is anticipated to work 630 hours or more in a school year. New-hire enrollment happens within the first 31 days of eligibility; existing employees can change plans during the annual SEBB Open Enrollment window each November.

All eligible employees are members of a Washington Department of Retirement Systems (DRS) plan:
Plan choice (Plan 2 vs. Plan 3) typically happens within your first 90 days of eligible employment — this is a permanent decision, so don’t miss the window. DRS sends materials and offers free counseling to help you compare.
