A student at Montesano Jr/Sr High School has recently been diagnosed with Chicken Pox. This is a good reminder for all parents to check your student’s vaccinations to make sure they are up-to-date. Please report any Chicken Pox symptoms to our school nurse for evaluation.

Last night, Police informed us that there was an attempted abduction of a 21 year old woman around 8:15 pm at the corner of Church st. and McBride by a dark skinned male in a Blue Chevy Avalance. Police are patrolling the area and are working with other law enforcement agencies to try and locate the suspect. Because we have students walking to and from school, I wanted to make sure parents were aware of this incident. If you or your child see anything suspicious in the area please contact the Montesano Police Department.

We are aware of a student-led national 17-minute school walkout planned for 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14. National organizers are calling for 17 minutes of action/activity in each time zone on that day to commemorate the 17 lives lost at the high school in Parkland, Florida.
