The school board will be meeting this Thursday at 5:30 pm in the board room of the district office. The board will be having a discussion on year round school and would like to have input from parents, students and the community. This Friday night is the first home game at Rottle Field since 2012. The tradition has always been for people to place blankets on the seats during the day on Friday to save them for later in the evening. While this is a new stadium, we still encourage you to continue with this tradition. Hope to see you at the game on Friday.

We are off and running on the first day of school for 2014-15. Looking forward to an awesome year. In case anyone saw or heard the fire department coming to the jr / sr high this morning it was not serious. Just a science experiment that got a little smokey. On Thursday, August 28th, the district invites all community members to come and tour the new stadium at an open house. The open house will go from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm and will give visitors a chance to have access to the press box, storage area and concession area.

You may have noticed that there is a little work taking place at the field at Beacon. We are in the process of creating a new parking area that will make it safer for both parents and kids during large events at Beacon. In the past, there has been very little room, if any, to safely get to the building from the Beacon Avenue parking strip. The fence will be moved further away from the road, a sidewalk will be added, and the parking area will be totally separate from the road.
