The After School Program at Simpson Elementary School is for students in grades 3-6. Program hours are from 2:40-5:00, Monday-Thursday. Students begin their afternoon with a snack and then transition to "Power Hour" from 3:00-4:00. During Power Hour, students work on their homework and daily assignments, as well as read independently to increase their comprehension skills in a learning environment led by team leaders, tutors and academic coaches. From 4:00-5:00, students in the After School Program participate in a variety of life skills led by team leaders and community members including athletics such as basketball and volleyball, arts such as painting and photography, and other skills such as cooking, music, and woodworking.

The After School Program at Simpson is a program of Montesano Community Outreach and works in partnership with the Montesano School District. The program is funded through grants and donations, for example: The Kelsey Foundation, Marjorie K. Johnson Endowment Fund, Grays Harbor Task Force, Vaughan Inc., Sierra Pacific, Montesano School District, and a variety of other community donations.
