As most of you are now aware, we will have students returning to school the week of February 1. We have both mailed & emailed specific cohort assignments and in-person/remote learning information to parents/guardians and students. We are all very excited for our return to school the week of Monday, February 1, 2021. At that time, we will be in starting Term 3 in a hybrid model which includes two days of in-person instruction and three days of remote instruction. Next week, students will be receiving information about their assigned cohort, schedule, and specific details about the reopening of school. Please be checking your email regularly and contact the HS Office with any questions at 360.249.4041.
Read MoreBeginning next week, MHS will be hosting Health & Wellness Activities on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00-6:00PM for enrolled Montesano 7th-12th grade students. These activity evenings will be held at Jack Rottle Field. Students will be required to wear a mask, need to bring their own water bottle and wear appropriate attire to exercise outdoors. All activities follow the WIAA regulations with regard to social distancing.
Prior to turning out for the Health & Wellness Activities, students will need to log into Skyward Student Access and complete the Health & Wellness Contract. Additionally, parents/guardians will need to log into Skyward Family Access to complete the Health & Wellness COVID Waiver. *Space is limited to 98 students, so make sure you sign up in Skyward as soon as possible. These required forms need to be completed prior to attending the Health & Wellness Activities.
The first Health & Wellness Activity Evening will be Tuesday, January 12th. We look forward to seeing you there!
Read MorePicture Re-Take Day will be Wednesday, January 13 from 12:30-3:00PM in the JH Gym. Students must wear a mask when they arrive, but will remove it for pictures. Masks are required, temperatures will be taken, and students should not attend if they or anyone in their family is symptomatic.

In memory of the recent passing of long time Montesano administrator Bill Denholm, the school is accepting donations on behalf of the family for the purchase of three AED defibrillators. These potentially life-saving devices will be placed in the stadium, the softball facility, and the training room area. Read MoreMHS Term 2 Conferences will take place on Wednesday, December 9. Conferences will be from 1:00-5:00PM, and 6:00-8:00PM and will be held via Zoom. We will again be using Skyward Family Access to schedule all conferences. The scheduling window is Monday, November 30 through Friday, December 4. All conferences must be scheduled during this window.
We have mailed home conference information to all parents/guardians. Please contact the HS Office at 360.249.4041 for any additional questions.

School pictures, and class materials pickup, for remote students, will be on Friday, November 6 and Monday, November 9. These times are assigned by each student’s last name and are outlined below. Students need to come at their designated dates/times to ensure proper social distancing. For MODEL & Running Start students, it is not necessary to come in and pick up materials, but we do want you to get your picture taken on Tuesday, November 10. Again, the picture times have been assigned based on the student’s last name and are also outlined below. *All students should plan on having their photo taken for school records, regardless if you are purchasing pictures or not.
