Soccer State Championship
Our Montesano Girls Varsity Soccer team will compete in the Soccer State Championship against Cedar Park Christian on Friday, November 21, at Federal Way Memorial Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM, and gates will open at 12:00 PM.
The WIAA has partnered with GoFan for digital ticketing, so no cash sales will be available on site. Single-day tickets cost $13 for adults and $10 for students, senior citizens, and military personnel, while all-tournament passes are priced at $23 for adults and $18 for students, seniors, and military.
Tickets can be purchased on WIAA.com or onsite using a credit card.
Please note that pets are not permitted, and a Clear Bag Policy is in effect at Federal Way Memorial Field. All bags are subject to search. Only participants and event staff will be allowed on the field.

Tickets for this week’s State Soccer and State Football games are now available for purchase online at gofan.co.. The State Soccer team will play Cascade Christian High School tonight, Wednesday, November 12, at Rottle Field beginning at 6:00PM (gates open at 5:00PM). The State Football team will play Tenino High School this Saturday, November 15, also at Rottle Field, with kickoff at 1:00PM (gates open at 11:00AM). Tickets are $12 for adults and students without ASB cards, and $9 for senior citizens and students with ASB cards. Please note that passes are not accepted at state events.

MHS Fall Conferences will take place on Thursday, November 13. Conferences will be from 1:00-5:00PM, and 6:00-8:00PM. We will be using Skyward Family Access to schedule all conferences. The scheduling window is Monday, November 3 through Friday, November 7. All conferences must be scheduled during this window.
Please contact the HS Office at 360.249.4041 if you need assistance scheduling your student’s conferences.
*Conferences at the Jr-Sr High are encouraged but not required, unless specifically noted by your student’s teacher(s).
Conferencias de otoño de MHS tendrá lugar el Jueves, 13 de noviembre Las conferencias se llevarán a cabo de 13:00 a 17:00 y de 18:00 a 20:00. Utilizaremos Skyward Family Access para programarlas. Haunted Halls is back! Montesano High School ASB presents the return of HAUNTED Halls on Thursday, October 30 from 6:00PM-7:30PM. This event will begin in the MHS Commons, where you’ll receive a map to guide you through the Haunted Halls and into classrooms filled with games, activities, and more! This event is open to pre-K through 6th grade students, so if you have younger siblings, friends, or neighbors, please be sure to invite them for a night of spooky fun!
*Reminder: Halloween costumes are not allowed at the Junior/Senior High School during the school day.
Our school is participating in the Washington State Healthy Youth Survey during fall 2025. The survey will be given to students in Grades 6, 8, 10 and 12 in large districts and students in Grades 6 through 12 in small school districts.
The Healthy Youth Survey includes questions related to physical activity, unintentional and intentional injury, substance use, interpersonal relationships, school experiences, risk and protective factors, and access to school-based services. Survey results are used by schools, communities, and State agencies to plan programs to support our youth and reduce their risks.
Participation in the survey is voluntary and steps are taken to ensure student privacy. There are no names or codes used to link a survey back to a student.

Jostens' priority ordering deadline is TODAY, Friday, October 10! Orders placed by this deadline will ensure best package pricing and free shipping. Seniors are only required to purchase their Cap and Gown Unit (Includes: Gown, Cap, Tassel and Stole) from Jostens. All other products and packages are optional. Caps and gowns will be delivered to the school after Spring Break.

Next Wednesday, October 1, is our traditional Homecoming Parade and Community Pep Rally! The parade begins at 6:30PM. Immediately following the parade, we will have our Community Pep Rally in the HS Stadium at Rottle Field. During this portion of the evening, we will have a special moment celebrating the Senior Class of 2026 and welcoming our Kindergarten Class of 2038! We invite all Montesano grade K and grade 12 students to participate at this event.

The Homecoming Dance, A Night in Rio, will take place on Saturday, October 4, from 8:00 to 10:30PM. This event is open to high school students only.
Tickets are $15 per person when paying with cash or check. They can also be purchased online using the link provided or by scanning the QR code posted at the Bookkeeping window. If purchasing online, please note that a service fee applies and students must enter the invitation code “MHS” at checkout.
Tickets are on sale now and may be purchased before school, during high school lunch, or after school. Tickets will not be sold during class time or between passing periods.
If you are bringing a guest from another school, both the guest and the MHS student must complete a brief interview with Ms. Greene, either in person or by video, in order to be approved to attend this MHS event. Interviews will begin this week.

Tomorrow the Montesano Bulldogs take on the Ridgefield Spudders in our first home game of the season starting at 7:00PM. The football gate opens at 5PM tomorrow. We will allow blankets, but please NO tape. Our stadium seats were recently stained, and we'd like to keep them looking good. Please show your MONTE Pride by throwing away your garbage and taking good care of our facilities.
