Montesano School District

Excellence in Education

Montesano is a community where people learn,
grow and work together.  With high-quality
instruction, every student, regardless of race, class,
language, or disability, can succeed.

The Washington State School Retirees' Association (WSSRA) invites senior students of your school who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher to apply for the above scholarships. These awards are given to students who wish to have a career in the "field of education". Their degree could be in one of these majors: teacher, counselor, speech therapist, occupational therapist, or psychologist.

WSSRA conducts the search and review process and selects the recipients. Applicants will be notified by May 4, 2017, if they have been chosen. Please encourage your outstanding students who are committed to a career in the field of education to apply.

The scholarship application is available online on our web page at To access the forms click on Forms & Files and then in the drop down menu click on Scholarship Application. The forms must be filled-out online, printed and mailed to the WSSRA District Representative for the student's area. The District Representative's name and address will be displayed once the student has entered the zip code where requested for his/her school.

For an application to be considered it must be in approved form, with directions followed precisely and mailed and postmarked by March 1, 2017.
