Beacon Elementary School will dismiss at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20.

School will be closed December 21 - January 3 for winter break.

School resumes January 4, 2023.

Unfortunately, the winter concerts for our Beacon and Simpson students are postponed. Once affected staff members running the concerts are healthy and back in the buildings, we will coordinate a new plan.

We apologize for the postponement and wish families a happy and healthy closing of 2022.

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!

Monday, August 29 - Open House, 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Wednesday, August 31 - First Day of School (Grades 1-2), 8:20 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Monday, September 5 - No School, Labor Day

Tuesday, September 6 - First Day of Kindergarten, 8:20 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Tuesday, September 6 - First Day of Pre-Kindergarten, 8:30 a.m. - 2:40 p.m.

HURRAY FOR A SHUTTLE BUS! Shuttles will be available between schools for the 2022-23 school year. To alleviate traffic congestion along Beacon Avenue, parents are strongly encouraged to utilize a shuttle bus, particularly in the afternoons to transport your child to Simpson or the High School if you reside near the other schools or if you also pick up children at the other buildings.

Please fill out one form per child to request shuttle service. Students will be assigned a shuttle bus on a space available basis. By submitting this form, it will be assumed that your child will ride the shuttle bus daily unless you contact your school office otherwise. Please submit request by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 26.

It contains important back to school details, including information regarding the required annual update, open house, supply lists, transportation requests, arrival/dismissal times, family connection meetings, school safety, and more!

Action Required:

The Annual Student Information Update must be completed for all students by August 19, 2022. Please refer to the newsletter for details.

Beacon News - August 2022 - Back to School Information

We look forward to seeing students back at school soon!

The Beacon office is currently closed for summer break. The office will reopen August 22.

Families should check their emails for back to school information in August. Updates will also be posted on the Beacon website. Any new enrollment applications submitted over the summer will be processed when the office reopens in late August.

Beacon Elementary School will dismiss at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14.

The last day of school is Wednesday, June 15. Beacon will dismiss at 10:20 a.m.

Do you have a child who will be 5 years old by August 31? It’s time to sign up for kindergarten! Full-day kindergarten is offered free of charge. You will need to provide a copy of your child's proof of age, immunization record, and two forms of proof of residency.
