Annual Student Information Update

An annual information update must be completed for all students currently enrolled in the Montesano School District. To update your student's information, log in to Skyward Family Access beginning August 14, 2017. Information must be updated prior to the first day of school, August 30, 2017.

An annual information update must also be completed for students who enroll after the start of the school year as part of the enrollment process.

In order to enroll in Community Preschool for the 2017-2018 school year:

There is currently a waiting list for Community Preschool. Please contact the Beacon office to add your child to the list.

  • A child must be 4 years of age prior to September 1, 2017
  • Complete the online enrollment application using the Skyward Family Access system. Click here to enroll online.
  • Complete student information and sign the Certificate of Immunization Status Form
  • Attach a copy of the child's current immunization record
  • Provide a copy of the child's legal birth certificate

Community preschool is offered 2 days per week, either a Monday/Wednesday class or Tuesday/Thursday class. The morning preschool session is 8:20 a.m. - 10:50 a.m. The afternoon preschool session is 12:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. There is a fee of $85 per month for students to attend community preschool. A sliding fee scale is available. Please note: school bus transportation is not available for community preschool students.

Limited Early Childhood Education Assistance Program (ECEAP) spaces are available at no cost for those that qualify per the ECEAP Income Eligibility Guidelines. Students must reside within the Montesano School District boundaries. ECEAP students attend 4 days per week, Monday - Thursday, either morning session or afternoon session. Transportation is provided for students enrolled in the ECEAP program.

If more students register for community preschool than there are available spots, students will be selected by lottery. To be eligible for the lottery, all completed forms and information must be submitted by the end of the open enrollment priority week. Students not selected by the lottery and students who submit enrollment requests after the priority week will be placed on a waiting list. Priority is given to students who reside within the Montesano School District boundaries.

In order to enroll in Developmental Preschool for the 2017-2018 school year

A developmental preschool is available at no cost to 3 and 4 year olds with qualifying delays or medical conditions. Placement can occur throughout the school year. Transportation is provided. Qualifying children may receive free services to address delays in:

  • Communication: ability to understand language and express needs;
  • Physical: ability to move, see, and hear;
  • Social/Emotional: ability to play and relate with others;
  • Adaptive: ability to dress, eat, and take care of self;
  • Cognitive: ability to learn and understand. 

If you have concerns about your child's development, please call the Student Services office at 360-249-3942 to schedule a free screening to determine eligibility for this program.

If you reside outside the Montesano School District boundaries, you are required to annually submit an Interdistrict Transfer Application for each child for approval.
