Washington State 2016 Healthy Youth Survey

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Our district is participating in the Washington State 2016 Healthy Youth Survey during the weeks of October 10th – 21st.

The Healthy Youth survey includes questions related to physical activity and diet, unintentional and intentional injury, substance use, risk and protective factors, access to school-based services, and sexual behaviors, abuse and orientation. Survey results are used by schools, communities and state agencies to plan programs to support our youth and reduce their risks.

The Healthy Youth Survey is given to students in grades 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 across Washington State.

Participation in the survey is voluntary and the students’ answers are anonymous.

Please read the Parent and Student Notification flyer for more information about the Healthy Youth Survey.

Rottle Field Blankets

Due to problems last year with people putting blankets out in the days prior to Friday, we will not be allowing blankets to be placed in the stadium until 8 am on gameday.  Any blankets put in the stadium prior to that time will be removed and put on the railing for pick up.

We will evaluate this system after this week's game.

Preschool & Kindergarten Open Enrollment

Will your child be 5 years old by August 31? It's time to enroll your child for kindergarten!

Preschool and kindergarten open enrollment for the 2016-2017 school year is scheduled for April 18 – April 22. A link will be available on the Montesano School District website beginning April 18 to enroll new students using the Skyward Family Access system. A legal birth certificate and a current immunization record are required at the time of registration for all students. Parents who complete the necessary information during the scheduled open enrollment week will have priority placement for their child. Click here for more information on how to enroll.
