Special Education

About

The Montesano School District Special Education Program serves approximately 200 students ranging from three to twenty-two years of age. These services are provided by special education teachers, paraeducators, counselors, school psychologists, speech-language pathologists,  an occupational therapist, and a physical therapist.  Students with disabilities are served in the least restrictive environment possible as specified in federal and state laws. As a result, special needs students participate in the general education classroom with the general education curriculum, as much as possible.

Please contact the special services department at 360.249.1233 if you would like to learn how to refer a student for an evaluation.
