Additionally, parent input week has begun. If you would like to provide input regarding your child's learning style or needs for the upcoming school year, please complete one of the forms below by Friday, April 26 at 3:00 p.m.. All submissions will be taken into consideration by the principals.

Read MoreOn Sunday, April 21, there will be a memorial service at Montesano Junior-Senior High School for Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Gregory.
There will be a large police presence in addition to expected traffic congestion and road closures. Additionally, there will be military honors which means you may hear firearms discharged.

Read MoreStudents are invited to wear pajamas to school on Friday, December 15. Pajamas must be appropriate and allow for students to participate in all school activities, including recess and PE. Students should not wear slippers. Students may not bring a pillow, stuffed animal, or blanket, unless otherwise indicated by their teacher.

Read MoreOn Wednesday, December 6, Beacon Elementary School students will be performing a selection of their favorite winter songs under the direction of Mrs. Allison Fagerstedt, Elementary Creative Arts Teacher. Students are encouraged to wear nicer than normal school clothes or holiday attire to their performance. Students are to report to the Beacon multipurpose room on the evening of their concert.

Read MoreThere will be early dismissal Friday, November 3rd through Thursday, November 9th at Beacon Elementary and Simpson Elementary for parent/teacher conferences. Beacon will dismiss at 12:00 p.m. each day.
There is no school for all students on Friday, November 10th in observance of Veterans Day.

Schedule a conference appointment in Skyward Family Access by October 30. Click on the Conferences tab, select All Conferences, and then select your desired appointment.
If you need assistance scheduling a conference, please contact the Beacon office at 360-249-4528.
Beacon Elementary students will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m. on November 6-9. Students will still have lunch at school on early release days. There is no school for all students on Friday, November 10 in observance of Veterans Day.

The challenge is designed to promote reading, and the goal is to create a special “Reading Pumpkin Patch” in each classroom. The pumpkin patch is created when students read at home (or the younger students are read to) and parents sign a reading participation pumpkin.
